Plastic or wooden pegs

I'm looking for about 500 pegs in about 12 different colors for a prototype, either plastic or wood. Nothing fancy, just about 1" pegs for a board I'm making. I've searched online but can't find a site selling plastic pegs in that many different colors. Does anyone have a link to a site that carries plastic pegs in that many colors?

Alternatively, I would just buy wooden pegs and dip them in paint to color them as I need. A couple of sites I've found for wood pegs are: http://www.caseyswood.com and www.craftparts.com. Both sites charge about $25 for 500 pegs. Does anyone know of a site where I could get that many for cheaper?

Thanks!

Golf Tees

How about getting some golf tees, many courses give them away. Since it is a prototype lower the cost the better.

http://www.golftees.com/tees218.html for example (high end)

I've been there

The www.plasticforgames.com site is great when you need a large quantity. If I were going to self publish, I'd use them.

I was in your shoes l not too long ago looking for pegs for one of my prototypes. I ended up going with wooden pegs and dying them myself. I ordered from this site: www.craftparts.com. Specifically: http://www.craftparts.com/toy-wheels-wood-wheel-pegs-c-178_196.html You can get 500 1 1/16" pegs for $17.50 (plus S+H). For a prototype, I would definitely recommend this over plastic.

That's right. My mistake for posting the wrong link. Thanks!
