I'm back again, still working on RED and getting feedback where I can. This time I bring you guys three of the prototype cards I made for play-testing, which has the characters final art, their stats, and abilities. The size is just about right, but I need help with the layout...as some of the characters have wordier abilities that might not fit on one card. I don't mind making two cards for some characters, but I'd like to avoid that completely.

If mana is a standard cost

If mana is a standard cost thing, why not drop the word and make it a number in a circle to the right of the ability or effect name. Similarly, you could compress Attack and Effect to like A and E. Looking at Clarissa, I see a few times you mention within 2 hexes. Why not define a standard area of effect and shorten that or use Near as a defined term. I think it will simplify things to offload that type of information into the rules. And when given a choice, drop some of descriptive text rather than spread stuff out. Some power names are quite descriptive and further action description is redundant.

Other characters use

Other characters use resources other than Mana as Costs, and there are a lot of characters in the game. Mana is more of a generic cost if anything, and some characters gain stats based on how much Mana they have instead of using it as a cost.

The rest will really help me out though. Generalizing range into keywords is something I'll consider, but I'm always willing to trim fat where I can. Was afraid that the names of the ability's weren't descriptive enough...so it's good to know that they are.
