Source for coins, preferably in Europe

Hi,

Anyone have a good source for multi purpose coins to be used in prototyping? A few different values like 1, 5, 10 would be great, as well as no connection to real currencies. I don't care much if it's plastic coins or cardboard.

Since I live in Europe I'd prefer to get them from here, but any source could be of interest.

And on a similar subject, anyone know a punch tool that could create discs of coin size in 1000g cardstock, if so I could create them myself as well as other tokens.

Best Regards
/ Anders

Mused fable

Hi padragan,
I know this place to buy coins for protoryping.
Mused fable:

Alas it's in US. The coins where created for a kickstarter campaign and now they sold them on their site.
You can find 3 types of coins there to assign them different values.

Who am I kidding...

They were just too good looking, so I bought a bunch.

And when I wrote that they were not cheap that was not in comparrison to their looks. For real metal coins I think the cost was quite fair.

I've found that plastic

I've found that plastic novelty coins are often too large for my taste. I have some gold- & silver- coloured tiddlywinks which I use in prototyping, but the shop I bought them from has shut down. They look identical to the currently available:

...except that the gold winks are the same size as the silver ones.

When I bought them, there were also 5mm thick versions available, so if you can identify the manufacturer, it may still be possible to get gold & silver winks in 1mm and 5mm thicknesses.

Thanks for the tip. Now,

Thanks for the tip.

Now, since I spent $100 on coins I think I'm good at the moment, but cheap decent plastic coins could absolutely come in handy later on, especially when creating demo prototypes to be handed to playtesting groups.
