I already have a prototype for my game for testing, but almost all cards are "MTG template cards"; and is very easy to mistake it.

Question: Is any place to look for a custom design template?? An original one?

My game has 6 types of cards:

1. Mages: Characters as per Rage, or WoWTCG

2. Items: Some items can be "enhaced" and this enhacement will be in the back of the card (as game mastery items but with a text box in front and in the back just in some cases)

3. Abilities: Horizontal cards with text only (at least for the moment)

4 (5). Magic/creatures: Creatures as per WoW and Magic as any MtG magic card or WoW abilitie card.
I want this cards have more image and less text box in front; then the back of the card have all the "keyword remainder" text and maybe some "effect text", text describing the fantastic effect of the card
Example: "A gigant ball of fire are blasted across the arena"

6: Components: This are the core of the game. At the moment I think the MtG template is good for the component card but I will love to have one original.

The components have different colors to identify the school of magic they belong.
The magic cards have different colors too, based on the level of the magic.

I would think that M:TG

I would think that M:TG templates would be fine for playtesting.

If you plan to self publish, then it is probably not too early to consider what you want the finished product to look like; if you plan to have someone else publish the game, they will likely design their own card designs so your prototype only needs to be designed well enough to play smoothly and illustrate the gameplay.

Good luck with your design!

If you really want to dig

If you really want to dig into the tech, you can play with Magic Set Editor and mse_designer. Those two tools can open up a world of options, but will require at the bare minimum a week of ramp up. For me, it was worth it since I want to develop a set of powerful prototyping tools along with my game, but ymmv.

Thanks

Thanks for the comments.

I already try to do my own designs but I'm not very good drawing or spacing. Designing.
I'm looking for an expert.

Thanks and I will check mse_designer. I already try to modify some templates in MSE but need icons for the schools of magic and the cards.
