PRIZES to be won

There will be 10 Lucky finalists that will be forever immortalized as the premium role characters in the game.

A short list of 50 contestants will be chosen and 10 Lucky finalists will become winners based on your votes.

It will be FREE to send your submission (photograph). We will update the FB page with more information and introduce the roles in the game - so you can choose which role you would like.

AGAIN it will be FREE and voting will be done by Kickstarter backers, once the campaign is successful and we reach the premium role stretch-goal.

BUT you can pledge $1.00 and be allowed to vote... So we're not asking for you people to become full backers of the game. 1 buck gets you a vote on the 50 finalists (5 per role, 10 roles).

So don't worry, I'm not running a scam or anything... Just trying to accomplish our goal of having INTERESTING characters for our PREMIUM Role Cards!

FREE vs Reward tiers

Also please note that we considered having Reward levels at the $200.00 for each of the premium character poses. But there were two (2) reasons we decided NOT to do this:

1. We would be obliged to use the photo of the person who pledged that reward tier. And what if he/she looked terrible for that role?

2. We wanted to put the game FIRST. Before we talk about profits and making money from the Kickstarter, we first want to make a TERRIFIC game for the gamers who enjoy Sci-Fi and card games (heck even Deck-Building).

So doing what was BEST for the game itself is the reason why we are having this "FREE Facebook contest". Hopefully the entries are interesting enough that we get at least 50 good finalists to make the voting difficult!

Thanks for your LIKES

Just wanted to give a kudos to some of the designers from BGDF who LIKED my "Tradewars - Homeworld" page... If I've sent a friends request, if you choose to accept it, you may also be a part of the contest!

You'll be able to choose your role and submit the photograph (with the correct pose). The pose is important because I think what I want to have Charles do is to DIGITALLY ENHANCE the PHOTOGRAPHS.

So the original picture will be the basis for the RENDERED version. And so I think it will make the card LIFE-LIKE and add a Sci-Fi twist to each one of them...

Update: We may make them monochromatic. I'll see what Charles has as ideas. But having each role one color hue - would be like "vintage" old-school photographs.
