Hi,

We have that great game that we would like to offer to companies in the coming Toy Fair in Feb 2011 in NY.
1. How do we contact them to set an appointment?
2. If appointments are not made - what are the alternatives for meeting in the Fair?

Thanks a lot
Maxx

Toy Fair Experience

The Toy Fair draws in toy and game companies of all kinds. Some are indie tabletop publishers who acquire booths in the back to try to attract buyers to their one or two products. Some are well-financed startups with one particular franchise that they want to promote across a variety of media. Some are foreign manufacturers who want to showcase the work they can produce, others are multinational companies that have dozens of products to promote to the media more so than to buyers.

What can be said in general about all those who attend though is that they will either be open to submissions from designers/inventors or they will be too focused on selling their own games that they have neither the money or interest to consider outside submissions. And, that most importantly, the companies there who are open to submissions will require you to have representation. You will not arrange an appointment, your agent will.

So, if you plan to target companies at the Toy Fair, you need to contact an agent or agency that represents game designers/inventors.

Hi,
Thanks a lot.
You seem to be very knowledgeable - So I dare ask another question: where do we find such agents?
