I've got a technical question on boardgame printing specs. I've looked at a lot of games to try and get a sense of the materials and techniques and am having trouble distinguishing lamination, varnish coating and in some cases just plain ol' glossy paper.
Are most game cards laminated or is a special plasticized paper used?
Are game boxes usually laminated or simply printed on glossy paper stock?
Are game boards usually laminated or varnished or simply printed on glossy paper stock?
Thanks. I look forward to your insights.
Cheers....
