I am looking for game submissions and other printable products for my new print and play website www.gamesinprint.com If you have a game or printable cardstock models, terrain or miniatures I would love to see it.

All you need to do is go to www.gamesinprint.com ; create an account, set the membership to either platinum or gold (Platinum gets 50% nets sales for your products, Gold you get 80% net sales for your products but you agree to sell through us exclusively) then hit submit content.

After you submit a product I will review, playtest, and evaluate the submission. If it is of high enough quality I will accept it, and put it on the website's online marketplace. If not, I will write you a brief email letting you know why it was not accepted.

Now here is the good part, not all submissions will be accepted. That means if your game is truly high quality, you won't have to compete against the 10,000 bad games that would clutter the marketplace. This directly translates to more sales for you as well. We decide whether or not to accept a submission based on a mixture of the following criteria. A)Fun B)Polished C) Creative D) Visually appealing.

So does that mean if you have a great game with perfected rules but it has bad art that it won't be accepted? Yes. But if your game is great besides the art, we will work out the art with you. That is right, we will work to get you artwork for your game.

What if a game is promising but not up to par? We will work with you on that as well, give you feedback, give you notes from our playtesting session, etc.

Please understand that we don't want to be a playtesting service though, so if we get a game that has obviously never seen a table before; we won't waste our time with it.

On a final note. This is a brand new website, it has absolutely no content yet and we are really looking for good submissions. So to sweeten the deal, the first accepted game, the first accepted miniatures, and the first accepted terrain assets we get will get some presidential treatment. Meaning, free promotional space on the front page of the website for a substantial amount of time. Think 6+ months. Any questions feel free to ask here or pm me.

The one thing that has held

The one thing that has held me back from doing more PnP games is eye apeal. In fact I have several games that went unfinished because I couldn’t find artwork that I was satisfied with at a price that was justified by the expected return. Then again better art might mean a better return.

To facilitate requirement

It would be great to recriut artists. Maybe you could get them to sign up with their own account and have a section to display samples that can only be accessed by vendors. There seems to be plenty of talent, you would think some might be happy for the work even if at reduced rates.

I have a business model to

I have a business model to get artwork for games that are good, but don't have the artwork to support them. It is a combination of me hiring artists, me doing some artwork myself, and profit sharing with artists. So if your only hesitation to submitting your game is artwork, please submit and if it is something I am looking for I will make sure the artwork is taken care of. :)

In that case I’ll review them for possible submission.

Even if I sent you the rules

Even if I sent you the rules before ("Fallen Kingdoms"), I imagine you want me to completely re-submit my game with all the datafiles.

Looks like a cool site,

Looks like a cool site, Redcap ... best wishes in getting it fired up and providing great content! :-)

Question on the difference between the 50% and 80% payout categories. Does the "exclusive" tag to get the 80% payout refer to all forms of the game -- or just print-and-play PDF versions?

For example, if there was a game that had a PnP PDF version, and a publish-on-demand version through TheGameCrafter.com (and possible a PC or phone app version, etc.) ... would making the only PDF version available through your site entitle the author to work at the 80% level?

Thanks for clarification,
-Matt

Exclusive would refer to print and play only. So if you didn't sell the game as a print and play anywhere else, but you sold it in different formats then you would be fine. So gamecrafter and iPhone games would be 100% okay.

@Larienna I would love it if you resubmitted Fallen Kingdoms. :)

It is already going in the sense of game submissions, being able to buy, all that is functional. When am I going to start to market and advertise for it... when I feel that I have something new to bring to the table. Sooner rather than later, but as it stands I do need more content.

On a different note, welcome to the forums and I would be very interested in seeing your submission. :)

yes, yes, and very yes was meant that I was enthuisatic to get your submission. Sorry about that, it is ironic though that you asked about a word game and I used poor word usage :)

For all who are interested first product is actually up on the site.
