I have a working game that's looking like it may very well be my first commercial release through The Game Crafter, YAY! It doesn't have a name, boo! But the BGDF is full of smart people, YAY!

Ok ok.. Here's the gist of the game...
It's an abstract game, in that there is no theme (not that I'm opposed to one, but I think it's fine without one) where players roll dice for Yahtzee style hands to grab cards from the center of the table in order to score and make sets.

So.. maybe a name that evokes the dice rolling and cards? Like Stack and Roll (bleurk!) or.. um.. Roll 'em and Claim 'em?.. Man these names are terrible!.. see how much help I need!?

A name

"Cascade" perhaps? Many abstract games come up with unique words as well for their titles.

Namestorming

Congrats on the upcoming first release, good luck!

I feel like the naming depends a bit on how the game play shakes out (so to speak...oh, maybe "Shake Out") as to which way you might want to go. Is it a ...

...fast paced family fun game : Rolling Thunder, Two in the Hand, Shake Out
...heavy screw-your-neighbor, point-stealing: Dice ContRoll, Something-Thief, Snake in the Grass
...tricks and trump: Trump Roller
...gambling/wagering: Monte Carlo, In the Pits

I didn't check how many of these are already used by other games, but I hope it helps a bit!

Great stuff

These are great! Really getting the gears turning!

It is more of a beer and pretzels/family type game with some screwing of the proverbial neighbour. I think names like Shake Out (love it!) and Cascade are on the right track. Trump Roller is neat but doesn't fit the game..

I'm gonna have to look up those first two though ^_^

Shake Out!!

I'm gonna go with Shake Out. I really dig it!

I might even add an "!".. I haven't decided yet.

Thank you SOOO much!
