Hey, does anyone know how to produce painted miniatures for a boardgame at a reasonable cost? I'm wondering how games like HeroScape have done it, does anyone have any ideas?

Get about . . .

. . . a hundred imported Chinese people in your basement and a few buckets of paint.

That's how I assume those games do it. But, I don't actually know.

They're machine painted

They're machine painted apparently and there is a company in France, so I've been told who specialise in it. Possibly the same one used by Rackham, or is a subsidiary of Rackham. If its for a one off prototype it would cheaper to pay a commission painter to paint the minis.

I'd be happy to help with that, as I'm a commission painter and I know a few others.

Machines!

warhammergrimace,

Thanks! That gives me something to go on at least. I'll have to do some more research and see just how much a machine painting run would cost. As for the painting offer, thanks! I've already got my prototypes painted, but I'll remember your services in the future!

Cheers, -Sasachaz
