Sourcing components (slider clips)

I'm looking into the logistics of getting my game produced, and one of the pieces I need for it is something like sliders used by The Game Crafter.

Getting them from The Game Crafter wouldn't be efficient (since then they'd need to be either sent to the printer to be put in the box, or I'd have to put them in the boxes myself).

So I'm wondering if there are any companies that produce components like this, which I can order and have shipped to my chosen printer. Anyone know anywhere that does this?

The sort of piece I mean is, for example:
https://www.thegamecrafter.com/parts/slider-clip-orange
(I have to say I'm impressed by the piece, best slider clip design I've seen)

(I can also get the printer to set up their own mould and make them, but this would of course cost more in getting someone to create the model + tooling for production)

Your chosen manufacturer/printer can't get these at a bulk rate for you without the cost of setting up a custom mold?

Seems odd.

Yes I can order a bunch from

Yes I can order a bunch from TGC and ship them across. But TGC is not super cheap (7p each, even at bulk rate) and then there's shipping to China. If I can cut the fat on my KS, I will.

TGC also doesn't do the colours I want, so that's a bit of a limiter (I am discussing with them too)

What I meant that it seems your manufacturer in China should be able to get ahold of something just like this without requiring setting up a custom mold.

Then again, thinking about it that may be extra work that would end up costing you just as much anyway. Doh!

May I ask which manufacturer you're talking with?

There are some *similar*

There are some *similar* options that would be cheap, and I may end up going with that, but if I can get the best option at a good price (or even if it's only slightly more expensive) I'd prefer to do that.

I'm considering the idea of a "basic edition" of the game, good enough to publish but not *quite* perfect, and then upgrade the components as a reach goal (so that would involve custom-moulded slider clips and other things like black-core cards, extra decoration on the cover, nice cosmetic changes that aren't strictly necessary for the game to work). I'm currently unsure if this is a good idea, I don't know if I'll really be happy with it if I don't get the best pieces. I need to think on this more.

I'm currently talking with a few printers to get quotes and discuss these issues. I think one of the major choices is whether to work with a manufacturer in China directly or use one of the companies (eg in the US or canada) which work with the manufacturer and function as a go-between (giving extra sets of eyes on the quality, help with language barrier, etc).
