Superior POD has officially launched our PUBLISHERS WAREHOUSE. You can now print, publish and sell your product designs all in one place!

Superior POD acts as your warehouse and order fulfilment center. We charge a very small fee for this service and we know that it is lower than other companies charge. The fees involved for this service are as follows:

•Cost for printing the product
•20% of the NET sales price for hosting the product in Publishers Warehouse
•$2.00 order processing fee plus $0.25 per item placed in the package to ship
•Customer covers shipping costs
You can even offer trade discounts to retailers

At the end of the month we mail you a check or paypal you your profits

Lets say you have a book that costs $3.00 to print and you retail it at $18.00. If you list it for sale in our Publishers Warehouse and sell one book at full retail we would keep $3.00 for the printing and $3.60 for the hosting fee for a total of $6.60. You would receive $11.40

If you are an overseas publisher you can now forego costly international shipping charges. We will print warehouse and dropship your product directly to your North American customers. If you sell to retail stores we can even set it up so that any discount level you offere them is automatically calculated upon checkout from our store.

Folks,

Normally we don't allow any solicitations like this, but since it is on topic I will allow it. Please exercise extreme caution if you use this service as this person has not established any sort of prior relationship with any BGDF members at the time of this post. If any one does decide to use this service, please reply to thread and write a review. To sum it up, buyer beware.

Cardstock for playing cards / volume discounts

What weight of cardstock do you print your playing cards (poker & bridge) on? I checked out your site, and you don't specify. Do you apply any coating/varnish to the cards?

You have a table for volume discounts on playing cards, but no discounts are listed. Do you have any plans to offer volume discounts on playing cards?

(This question serves two purposes: I genuinely want the answers, and I'm curious to see if the original poster is monitoring this thread.)

the site said 10pt, or for 10 cents more per sheet, 12pt. I was wondering about the bulk discount chart too.

First our apologies for the delayed posting. The convention season is upon us and we got a little behind on posting.

The cards are printed on 14pt C2s stock. The cards are not UV coated but the ink is a plasticized ink and they have a "coated" appearance. You can see the card pricing and discount levels here - http://superiorpod.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=1

Thanks for the questions

The site is very clear that stock used for the cards is 14pt C2S. It appears that you did not scroll down to the card pricing and took the info you posted off the book pricing.

Darke,

We felt that it was "on topic" so we posted. Did not mean to break any rules and apologize if we did. We have very high quality products and a pricing structure we feel is the most competitive in the market place and we were just trying to let folks know about.

There is quite a bit of positive talk about us on Boardgame geek.

Thanks

Could you explain what makes you different and better from the other self book publishers printing services out there?
Also do you happen to know the artist who has done Song of Blades and Heroes and Mutants and Death Ray Guns?
Thanks

Well, for starters the

Well, for starters the quality of our product is very high. We use a higher quality paper for our "house stock" book paper than most of our competition. Our cards are 14pt and while a few others use 14pt stock our cutting technology surpasses anyone else out there. We do not die cut and are the only service I know of that will guarantee registration to a card face as an offset printer would. While I will not claim to be the only one out there doing full bleed full color tuck boxes I don't know of anyone else offering that. Most are printing wraps for plain white boxes.

On the publishing side, the service we offer is much more attractive financially to a small company than any other service I know of out there. Simply put, if you use some services they take as much as 60-80% of the money that comes in by the time you add everything up. We take 20% plus a $2.00 order handling fee with 25 cents per item that goes in the box that ships. Of course the end customer pays the shipping so that is moot.

We strive to make our customer service the best. I have one testimonial up on the website, I have to get more of them up.

I don't know who the artist is you are looking for, contact Ganesha Games directly for that info.

I hope I answered your question well enough. Please let me know if you have more.

Thanks
