I am currently producing a "ccg" like game. The thing is it only has one core set and no expansions. What would you call this?

Dear Admiral Lazarev,

You would call your game a CCG. It may only have one core deck, but you are are still collecting cards.

You could call it...

A "TCG" or "The Card Game".

Example: My-Super-duper-Amazing-game TCG.

Someone else ran into the same problem: he was designing a CCG and realized he didn't have enough MONEY ($$$) to manufacture the game. So he called it "The Card Game" and only made like 70 - 80 cards or so...

So go the dreams of CCGs where it's nearly impossible to break into that business. It's all fun and dandy "design-wise"... But production is the catcher...!

Not a CCG

A card game.

By "CCG like game" do you mean that players individually construct their own decks to play with? Does everyone need their own set of cards or does everyone take from the one core set?

I'd describe a game where you prepare for play by constructing your own deck something like a card game with "deck construction" or "deck customisation".
