New card/table top game design concept

Hello all,

I'm looking for some help in how to proceed with my newly created card game.

I've created a new zombie apocalypse card/table-top game design and I'm trying to figure out what to do next.

I have the rules created, the cards all created, and I've done some playtesting but I'm not sure what to do next!

Can anyone help with how I should proceed?? Any ideas on who does publication or game development?
Is there any place to go that does final card development or game packaging so I can see what my game would cost to manufacture and sell?

Is there anyone who has any ideas on who does professional playtesting?

Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

There are companies that will develop your idea, art, etc but it will cost more than it’s worth. I do development myself but because I am straight with the people I lose a lot of potential clients. A printer that specializes in card games like cartimundi would be best to get a production quote but there are many other costs like warehousing, fulfillment, advertising and of course artwork if you’re going to self publish

I looked at your game on BGG. It has workable art so I think you just need someone to blind test it for you. There are plenty of talented designers here. If you were willing to test their game in return it would cost you nothing more than shipping to get some solid feedback.

Superior Print On Demand has

Superior Print On Demand has great prices for smaller print runs of games. Runs as small as 10 copies and they beat the game crafter out on how much they charge if you want only 10. If you need just 1 or 2 copies, the game crafter is pretty much the onlu place that will do it affordably

Congratulations on creating your new card game! Pretty exciting stuff. :)

The Game Crafter is more than just a print on demand game publishing service. It's a community of over 20,000 tabletop gamers and game designers that are passionate about games! We have VERY active forums, a chat channel that is always buzzing with game design discussions and community activity. We've also forged relationships with several game reviewers (The Gamers' Table, Father Geek, The Dice Tower, All Us Geeks, etc...) , game conventions, and prototyping events (protospiels, board game jams, Double Exposure events, UNPUB, and more.) This means that we have relationships with these people/organizations and that they are happy to accept, play, and review your games. One great inexpensive way to get feedback on your games and get blind play testers is to go to a few local game conventions and playtest your game with attendees. The local game conventions are not expensive to attend and this is a great bang for the buck when it comes to obtaining feedback from new players.

Our community also has many designers that swap games with each other so that they can try out each others games and get feedback from one another. This is extremely useful since you don't have to keep purchasing new copies of your games and sending them all over the world. Instead, you can purchase 1-2 copies of your game and you can keep exchanging them with different designers and in return they'll ask you to do the same with their game.

The Game Crafter community has a ton of talented designers and you'll have access to a ton of discussion, ideas, and feedback when you're plugged into it. There are several games that have started at The Game Crafter and have now moved on to successful kickstarter projects or signing with a traditional game publisher. Some of these include Flash Point: Fire Rescue, Jump Gate (2011 Traditional Game of the Year in Games Magazine), Dragon Valley, Plague, Farmageddon, Castle Dash, Roll For It (Recently), Shake Out (Recently), Baldrich's Tomb (Recently), and several others.

So I would encourage you to connect with the community and benefit from the many resources available. People aren't required to use our game publishing service, but they usually do once they get connected and see how awesome it is. :) Cheers!

playtesting

Others have addressed getting things printed, but in terms of outside playtesting this group was mentioned a few months ago, http://www.tabletested.com/, I haven't used them but it seems like it couldn't hurt . . . This is the link to the original post on bgdf: http://www.bgdf.com/node/7324
