Cryo North Studios is proud to announce that their first game, Lost To Time, will launch a Kickstarter campaign in early 2019. Cryo North Studios was founded by Dhaval Mistry and Nadav Ehrlich with one goal in mind, creating ground-breaking, immersive experiences for players around the world.

So, you’re probably asking yourself – What is Lost To Time? It is a new, ground-breaking real-time co-operative board game where players aim to survive horrors in a mysterious Mayan temple. Their prize is the unimaginable treasure that lies deep within the temple. The game takes about 12-15 minutes to play and can support up to four players. It brings the real-time cooperative board game genre to the next level by incorporating an app that not only tracks time but synchronizes progress with all players. The game has a unique ability to gain additional time while playing. The game delivers a stimulating and exciting experience like no other. It is the first game in a series of 5 cooperative games by Cryo North Studios. Nadav and Dhaval hope they can bring different themes and motifs to each game, creating interwoven stories, each with their own look and feel. Combined, this series will take players on an epic journey filled with lots of cinematic moments.

Whether designing a house or a board game, we at Cryo North Studios believe that attention to detail is the most critical aspect of any design. That is why we have put a great deal of effort into every corner of Lost To Time. We want players to get fully immersed in the world we have created. We have applied our experience working in the film industry to develop everything from the world to the board and pieces brimming with detail and have even composed our very own cinematic soundtrack. We have done all of this with one thing in mind: Enhancing the player’s immersion. Here is a sneak peek of the world we are creating: https://youtu.be/uYHaYe4xkN4

Help us get the word out! We already have a fully functional prototype version of the game, and we have been playtesting it for over a year now… But we still need YOUR help to raise awareness for the game.

Subscribe to the newsletter on our website! Once you do, you’ll have the opportunity to win a free copy of the game or receive a substantial discount on your pledge by the end of our Kickstarter campaign. Please visit our website for more details and subscribe!

Both here and on your

Both here and on your website, I see that you use alot of words to tell us about your game, but no concrete imagery. If you have been playtesting for a year, could you show images of your prototype? It is very easy to build up hype with words, but I think Kickstarter consumers have been burned enough by words with no substance. Not saying that's you, but if you want people to spread the word and get excited, I think it would help to show images and/or gameplay of Lost to Time.

On a side note, the phrase Lost To Time is really bothering me. I want so badly for it to be Lost In Time or Lost Through Time or anything but the word To. I almost feel like To is used improperly here, but I'm not English major.

And on a side side note, I find it ironic you wrote such a hefty post about a game which will only take 15 minutes to play. I find it hard to believe players will get immersed in the world you've described building, as 15 minutes is barely enough time to do much of anything.

The concept art in that video

The concept art in that video is cool, but, yeah, I have not a clue what the game is from the video.. Hopefully your KS page will have a lot of real graphics in it.

Update: So.. it's a real-time game? That's unusual. Could be fun. I assume it's something that people would want to play 5-10 times in a row, like One Night Ultimate Werewolf?

But really there's almost no info up there. I understand it's early, but not even a screenshot of the app or a pic of the gameboard?

Is it really "14+", or is that just to avoid CE-labeling issues in Europe?

Stopping here until there's indication that the OP is returning, which seems to be about 1-in-3 around here.

Hi Fertessa, thanks for the

Hi Fertessa, thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it and trust me I totally understand what you mean by Kickstarter consumers getting burned. In this regard, I would say that follow us on social media where we will be putting up more images eventually revealing full artwork of the game. We have everything planned but just not revealed yet.

The title of the game has been carefully chosen to be what it is. I cannot say whole lot more at the moment except that its deeply rooted into the lore of the game and holds much deeper meaning. I am sorry that its bothering you.

Building a world is not an easy taks, The world we have described is only a part of the bigger picture. Slowly we will build the complete picture as we continue to unravel things on our social media.

Oh, good, you're here :)

I like your subscriber thing. My solution to that involved tracking referrals and giving away a copy in a drawing based on number of referrals (and a second copy to a drawing of all signups). But yours is better because I think it'll have a better shot at converting that list.

Hi Jay, worry not! I am here

Hi Jay, worry not! I am here to answer any and all of your questions.

We are well aware that there is not much info out there about the game and you are right that its early days still but all of the info is planned and will be revealed in due time. Keep an eye out on our social media.

The game is real-time and yes it has an app and the app is not only acting as a timer but it has much more functionality to it. The app will sync all the players and keep their timer updated as players are allowed to gain more time during the game. Thats all I will say for now....
