Many moons ago, I wrote on these forums about a game I was developing called Gladiators.
Now, after a long difficult process of refinement, publisher hunting and conventions, Gladiators is close to release!

There is now a Kickstarter campaign up for Gladiators: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2088356096/gladiators

If you're interested in the game, please contribute and spread the word.
If you're interested in the process of getting the game from the early design to the current product, feel free to ask me questions in this thread.

Looks good...

The only problem I had was with the Kickstarter Video which almost *jammed* my Chrome twice! :(

Seems like FOREVER I have not heard any update with regards to your game... I'll need to take a mental note that "Gladiators" is a published BGDF design!... Sometimes people ask me about the games designers are working on... And I usually respond with those that I am familiar with. I will add "Gladiators" to that list! :)

Thanks Quest! I remember your helpful comments from that age before iron (2011). Glad to see you're still around. ;)

P.S. One way people can help out without dropping cash is by leaving a positive comment in the Comments area. Every little bit helps!

Says the Comments Section is reserved for Contributors ONLY.

Otherwise I would have put something talking about the early version of your game... When you hardly had any artwork done! :) Then you got someone to draw (or render not sure which) one character/gladiator... And so began "Gladiators"... You talked about the different combatants, some more violent then others... The thing that came next was your website... And I remember reading all about the different Gladiators. (Like I said - I have been following the progress of the game - for a while!)

After the website, there seems to be a dip in *publicity* of your game. You mention talking with publishers and going to conventions... And so you have probably been busy trying to get attention to your game (with a publisher - not the design community).

Note: I would use this thread to also provide the LINK to your WEBSITE... That was also a GOOD source of information with regards to your game!

I really like the concept you have here. I'm considering backing, seriously. Check out my kickstarter too

Yeah, when we put the website up, the game was pretty close to the state its in now, minus some rule polishing. The reason we didn't post many updates was that nothing was happening that we could talk about. We met Game Salute at PAX in 2012, and there were several delays for several reasons. Not much point in a "nothing happening yet" update. We did a blitz of some of some cons this year (Gen Con, Toronto Fan Expo, Montreal Comic Con), which was supposed to be timed with the Kickstarter, but... that didn't quite happen. Ah well, it's up now!
