High grades of quality

I was wondering if it would be possible to have cards coated not by a veneer finish (mat or gloss) but an actual plastic (mat or gloss).

The reason I ask this is because some printers use one type of finish and the end result is that cards when played with a little bit get used rather quickly around the edges - in die cut applications or square.

I find with the extra finishing option, the product is more friendly for collectors who usually like to preserve their cards.

Believe me, I know sleeves are another possibility. However I prefer the extra grade of quality since it makes for a more marketable product...

Because we print digitally we

Because we print digitally we cannot coat the cards. That said, Superior POD uses the best and latest technology available. Our dry ink used in our machines is a plasticized ink so the cards have the appearance of being plastic coated. More over our products have been shown to be by countless testimonials, the highest quality digitally printed cards on the market today. Because our dry ink is fused at the highest temperature of any digital printing press the durability of our cards compared to the competition is unmatched. Last, unlike our competition our cards are not die cut so the card edges do not take the abuse that die cutting can produce and cause shipped edges and the like.

Hope that helps a bit.

Jeff
