yeah I put one of my images there so when he *replaces* it I know he has not selected the same file that it currently has loaded.

Well you image is there, but let me tell you that something *strange* occur when I first attempted to load your image. I will ignore the *strange* behavior for now, but if any other members see problems with their avatar picture let me know.

Okay, I guess that's the problem. If you can see a different avatar, and I can see my original that's good. Sorry for the trouble admins! I guess I should re-instal my browser(opera 9.0). But it's still strange, I can't see my compass avatar in Firefox, but can see it in Internet Explorer. Oh well, I guess I'm just being picky. Thanks Zzzzz!

My new look
Yep. My avatar was changed, but, like others, my browser didn't show it until a refresh.
Hope the new look doesn't throw people off!
I had some suspicions, and now they seem to be confirmed: lucasAB never had any trouble uploading a new avatar image, he just had trouble forcing his browser to show it!
The current avatar, after uploading it to the image galleries and Zzzzz setting it as lucasAB avatar, is the skewed compass lucasAB has as avatar when this whole thread begun. So the image was ok, but you were unable to see it. As I said on my first post on the issue, I often have this problem with FF, and reloading doesn't fix it, unless I am looking at the image alone, not the image as part of a page. And even after reloading and getting the new image to show, if I go back to the original page, I still see the old image, and have then to reload the entire page for the image to finally show the updated version. So my bet is something like that was the cause of all your avatar suffering.
What's important is that the avatar is up and running now. :-)
