Whoa!
I was expecting an article about how board games are bad, but what I got was brilliant.
I love how he goes right into explaining why those particular games are boring and what's so bad about them, and then straight into suggesting a great board game to play instead.
I hope a lot of people read it and realise that boardgames are fun, just not the ones that have been around for 20+ years that are bought at Targets.

Yes snakes and ladder is
Yes snakes and ladder is boring, but I have heard from parents that it's a game they use to teach kids how to understand the concept of taking your turn and playing 1 player at a time. It also give a chance to kids to defeat their parents which is very rewarding for them. So it's more a teaching game.
Still, I would rather play "that's life" instead which is also roll and move but has a touch of strategy.
I was expecting an article about how board games are bad, but what I got was brilliant.
I rather not do this, I'll end up listing 50% of the games on BGG. (^_^)
