Hiya guys :) Relatively new around here, I'd like to know where I should post my game design, as a sort of a devlog, a thread where I can post everything about it as it progresses, and hopefully get some people to help playtest as it evolves :)
Game Design Workshop seems to be the closest thing, but I'm not 100% clear about the rules for it, to post there I must PM jwarrend? And the thread is supposed to only be alive for a week?

I'd posted my materials on the "Game Journals" tab. Seems to work fine for me (though my recent lack of updates might undermine my belief in their utility...I've had other-life stuff stand in the way of game development recently).
One of the nicest things about the Game Journals is that you can set up a "table of contents" with nested and cross-referenced pages. Creating a new page is super-easy, and although it takes a bit of first-time blundering, linking and weighting pages can help you organize your thoughts and all the stuff you've posted.
Incidentally, how do I insert images in my post? I looked up the Filtered HTML and the Markdown things, but neither has an option for images, unless it's just undocumented?
Yup, it's undocumented (or at least I couldn't find it either...).
It's the same as a regular webpage. Be sure to have Markdown selected in the Input tab, below the text entry field. Here's an example of what it would look like...Hat-tip to questccg for the info:

- Every message you post, there is an "Input format" (below). You need to select "Markdown"
- Next you can use the HTML < IMG SRC="http://..."> to display the image (not a URL to the image)
- You can control the size of the image using < IMG SRC="http://..." WIDTH="100px" >. By specifying a WIDTH the image will scale down.

Experiment a bit if you're rusty with HTML, and I'm sure you'll do fine.
