As I start to look around this site - I see so many resources I didn't even realize I needed.

I'm a homeschool mother of three boys (and their D & D) father. So our dining room table is pretty much set up in Dungeons and Dragons or Talisman unless we're hosting Thanksgiving.

The reason I am joining is because I have decided to get into the game building business myself. For years, I have been inventing math games on the fly for my kids. They have braced them enthusiastically and become stellar little mathematicians. So I'm creating hands-on math games for elementary students.

As a complete newbie, I just know there is a lot I'm going to need help with in getting them to market. I have 15 game books circulating to different parents and teachers at this time. I hope to have a good review and catch as many problems as possible before making them available to the public. Seem to be having a difficult time keeping costs down on publishing and game pieces.

Looking forward to finding answers and exploring topics here on BGDF. Thanks for existing!

Production cost is a function of volume; usually you have to produce several thousand copies to make a game both reasonable in cost & profitable at the same time.
