I'm Michelle from Staten Island, part of New York City. I've had some card games in mind for a while now (since about age 12), but want to learn more about game design to refine my ideas before I start trying to produce the cards. I've resolved that this will be the year I get things rolling on it.

Hi Michelle--

There's a thriving community of designers in NYC who meet once a month (usually at the New School in lower Manhattan--just a ferry ride away for you!) to critique game designs. In fact, there's a meeting this Saturday from 12-about 6 or so. Send me a PM if you would like to be added to the list.

And that goes for the rest of your NYC-area designers, too!
