Hi everyone,

I am an avid gamer and newbie designer. I thought I would come here to get some tips and share my design ideas with everyone.

I hope to be able to contribute here, and get inspiration to continue working on my designs.

Good to meet you all,

James.

Good to meet you, too!

Welcome, welcome!

I'm Keshie, pleased to meet you. What designs are you working on/what are your favorite types of games to play?

Thanks for the warm

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Actually, my little project I've started working on brought me to this site. It's a game about prospecting in the gold rush.

Our group plays board games every Thursday and another group plays Magic on Mondays. Aside from that though I play all types of games.

Will To Survive looks very cool. I would like to be able to make something that looks half as good.

Oooh, sounds like a fun concept. I'm assuming it's a competitive game -- what other mechanics do you have tacked on?

And thanks for taking a brief look at WTS -- we've been working on it for a few years, and it's nearly at the PNP stage. Super exciting. :)

Again, welcome.

It is a competitive game in which the first player to make a certain amount of money wins. It's going to be a fairly simple card game. The decision is what to do with your turn: players must decide between prospecting for gold, purchasing supplies, building businesses, etc. So the strategy is how to best manage your time while other players race to become rich.

I am happy to take a look at WTS. It is a very interesting game. I really like games where the players are forces to make very hard choices. It reminds me of a new game our group has been playing called Robinson Crusoe. I am very interested in learning about game design to make my games the best they can be, and engaging with this community seems like a great way to accomplish this. I don't know how much I can contribute, but I will continue to try to find ways to help out fellow developers.

Again, thanks.
