Ravage - Dungeons of Plunder

HI this forum has popped up a few times on my scour of the inter-webs on whats been an 18 month journey into game design. I started playing games when I was a kid the classic HeroQuest, I bought Advanced HeroQuest but spent more time painting it than playing it. Later I moved on to rpgs shadow run, vampire the masquerade, werewolf the apocalypse and magic the gathering. I then took a 10 year absence from rpgs and board and card games whilst I played computer games and about 3 years ago I started playing board and card games again. I am a freelance Illustrator probably because of all the rpgs and card games I played and I decided to make a card game of my own, and its taken longer than I would have liked. I am doing everything though developing, designing, and illustrating it, and its not finished just yet.

What I have learnt so far game design is hard and takes time, and no matter how cool something is in your head, scribble it on cards and try it out chances are it sucks, but thats how we all learn.

Looking forward to getting stuck into this forum, catch you around.

And just in case anyone wanted to check out my game thus far

Hi Ian, Good to hear from

Hi Ian,

Good to hear from you. Dungeons of Plunder looks very attractive, based on a quick look at the site. Is the game basically "ready to go" now?

Good luck!
Rob

I have some more play testing

I have some more play testing to do, awaiting another prototype from DriveThru cards at present before taking it back to my group, and to another group I haven't met yet. I also created the game in tabletop simulator too in the hope that people would playtest it on that, however a lot of people dont seem to like tabletop simulator and would prefer a pnp.
