Hello all
I realize the site is called Board Game Designers Forum, but I'm hoping card game designers are also welcome. I live in Portsmouth NH and am working hard at designing a card game I started working on almost 7 years ago. I touched it up here and there over the years, but in the past month, I've really put some serious time into it as well as a very helpful play test session. I'm looking forward to learning all I can from folks on this site.
Many thanks,
Andy

Howdy!

Pleased to meet you.

I also recently just joined here and am developing a couple of games with both being card heavy. I don't think a card game would be excluded from a board game developers blog, but I could be wrong.

I'd like to believe that every card game uses a board. The board is just a blank one that comes with chairs normally. :D

If I can help in any way whatsoever, I'll be happy to help. Good luck with your game!!

Heya Andy! Lovely to meet you

Heya Andy!

Lovely to meet you mate. Ted - I love your moto man! ^^

Yes card games are absolutely fine, we've even had RPGs and computer game developers in here at times, it would not make sense to call it "Board and Card and CCG and Party and Family Game and RPG Rules Designer, Printer, Publisher, and teachers Forum" thought ^^

Cardgames (dominion?) are essentially the same thing: because they are called "boardgames" it doesn't necassarily mean they must contain a board mind. In fact, the current trend is quite the opposite, we have moved to "player mats" and "token collection" and stuff like that too nowadays.

Tell us a bit more about your game man!

Thanks man. The game's

Thanks man.

The game's working title is Agenda and each player represents a noble house in a massive kingdom. Each of the noble houses are struggling to be the next to join the most wealthy and powerful houses in the Congress of Lordship by either gaining favor with three major power players of the kingdom or by eliminating the other houses.

I've had one play test session with a friend of mine who knows his stuff and we came up with some really good improvements so, time willing, I'm prepping for the next session.
