I am thinking about designing my board game for more than a couple of years and finally I have decided to do it. I also know that If I share my progress with you and at the same time take feedback from senior gamers and designers, the final result will be better than my initial thoughts. Today is my birthday (Aug 20) and I am planning to receive my game as a birthday gift next year same day

If you are interested you can find my first blog post in the link below:

Hello Ugur

Happy Birthday, and best of success on your journey. :D

I personally find tabletop game design one of the most refreshing hobbies I've ever encountered. I have a feeling if you stick with it, you will too.

Enjoy...!

Thank you ...

I really enjoy, thinking about different mechanics while brushing my teeth or driving to work. It is so interesting that these days, most of my free time I (naturally) think about different possibilities to make the game more appealing :) I am sure most of you know the feeling but it is relatively new to me.

Ships and caves

I enjoyed reading your blog post! At first I thought it was leading up to a seafaring game, but instead it's about Invaders and cave refuges! It sounds like a great theme, and sounds like you're organized and ready to go, with a plan and strong goals. I'm looking forward to seeing what Zelve becomes in the next year!

Today was a tough day at work and I was planning to post once every week. But seeing your comment motivated me to put the game on the table and make some photo shooting. Thank you Adam Leamey for the support. So here is some more:

A great start! For me it

A great start! For me it resembles a bit about my 800ad city building card game, although my game has a lot more things in the cards. It turned out to be a nightmare to find a balance between all the different elements and so i shelved it. Hopefully you don't end up doing the same for your design. And I'm certainly going to take my city building game back on to my desk when I have enough time to rebuild it. Welcome to the forum.

Thank you for the encouragement. Now I am really curious about your game. If you have time please send us a couple of pictures.

Regarding the complexity and simplicity of the game I am also worried. In my next post I will show you some close shots of the cards. There we can discuss If I am pushing the boundaries.
