We had Pocket Basketball up here a couple of weeks ago and I had so great feedback from rene.shible - I was so appreciative I've offered him a free set of the game after we self publish!

Now I've got Pocket Rugby to a workable version. It flows quickly, plenty of scoring chances and both players are part of the action during play. The dice represent players on the field, the referee, your defense and a scoring die tht doubles up as a D6 for kicking attempts.

It is a dice game. There is some decision making and push your luck, but it's simple, fast and fun. For the moment all you'll need is a D6 and refer to the tables.......but all our games have laser engraved custom dice when produced.

The quick rules are on the image below....so put your boots on and play some Pocket Rugby!

Free game in return for quality feedback

Guys - I need some real world playtest feedback for this game (and Pocket Basketball)....I'm willing to give you a copy of the game when published.

This is the place where feedback and comments help streamline the game...so if you'd like to assist me by playing through the game and giving me your honest thoughts on the gameplay, fun factor, any ideas for improvement etc. I'll reward that with a copy of the game.

That's a pretty good deal I reckon!

I can give it a whirl

I can give it a whirl tomorrow with one of my kids if you like. Will it matter that I know absolutely nothing about rugby?

Probably

I'd have to say yes, it will matter.....the quick rules rely on players having a knowledge of the actual game as the mental visualization and vocabulary used, plays out the game without needing a board!

You're welcome to try it out, however, it would be like me playtesting an American Football game without knowing how it's played, or what mental picture I should be seeing to know if it makes sense or not :)

I'm curious about that too.

I'm curious about that too. They play rugby in the UK as well, right? I wonder what the geographic distribution of the users on this board are like on the whole.

Yes...it has me curious. When

Yes...it has me curious. When I posted about our Ashes Edition Cricket game.....I had a reply for somebody *no names mentioned* suggesting that American and Canadians are not followers of Cricket and that Hockey, Baseball or Grid Iron might be a better post.

He obviously missed http://www.bgdf.com/node/12722

It would be interesting to do a poll?
