Hello! My name is Chris and I'm from the east coast in the U.S. I love board games and have become more interested (obsessed) with the hobby over the past 6 or 7 years.

Recently, I have wanted to explore and learn more about game design. I am working with a couple friends on taking one of my ideas and making a board game. It has been a learning experience so far, but fun!

I am sure I will learn a lot from the others in this forum and hopefully I can add something to the community!

Welcome to the site!

Gonzo,

Collectively, you have an amazing array of designers and developers on this site who will certainly assist you9 in your endeavor. Ask your questions and prepare for feedback, especially if you have something to highlight.

Cheers,
Joe

I had to overcome a bit of a "theft!" mentality to start posting details online (here and elsewhere), but that's really not an issue, and you come out much better off the more information you give (both here to get feedback, and elsewhere to start getting support and buzz)

If you don't mind my asking, what part of the East Coast? (I'm in Mass, though I would never say I was from the East Coast, so I'm guessing somewhere south of here :) )

Yeah, I am finding it intimidating every time I show my ideas and do a playtest session. I just did my first one with strangers the other day. It went well and I learned some stuff, so I consider that a success.

I don't mind you asking. I'm from the D.C. area.

New here too

Hi Chris! I just joined this forum myself and wanted to extend my best wishes for your game design endeavors. Good luck, and let me know any way I can help!
