I had a Glowforge - a laser cutter & engraver - delivered this past December. I've finally had a little time to experiment with making things.

As far as board game components are concerned, I've been experimenting with large-form pieces. Most successful of late is a new board for a classic dice game called Can't Stop. I couldn't find copies anywhere local, so I decided to make my own. I cut the "stop sign" shape out of wood, then engraved the text and the shapes. There's a photo of this attached to this post.

Also, I've made a wooden, coaster-sized thing for a relative, which depicts his business logo. That features a "stencil" design, where I used a computer image to cut entirely through the wood material.

Do you need something like this made? I can likely do something for you. The machine cuts through wood, acrylic, leather, and paper. It engraves (makes a partial burn into) wood, acrylic, leather, and metal.

At this point, I'm most interested in helping designers come up with great-looking pieces for their prototypes to be shown at events and to publishers. Drop me a line if you think this might work for you.

Hope that this is useful. Thanks!
