Zack from Chaos Galaxy put together a really interesting video about how the Homemade Trading Card Game community started and how it progressed. He talks a lot about how The Game Crafter helped game designers and how it empowered the community.

The Game Crafter is featured in the video at the 11:15 mark. But we do recommend watching the whole thing as it’s very interesting. We look forward to seeing part 2!

I watched the video and ...

I was a bit "surprised" that this EXISTs (or existed). Now while I can understand what people want to "create" ... The world has Artists for A REASON. Maybe if it is done by one person it can be "Homebrew" but nowadays if it's done by 2 or 3 people it's more "Indie" and as I refer to myself as an "Indie Game Designer". It's now even MORE possible to do great things in collaboration with artists/illustrators.

The Game Crafter (TGC) is AWESOME and that's why I wanted to offer you guys your own Forum area, dedicated to everything connected with TGC. It adds some credibility to BGDF.com and it offers you all a great platform to post about what is Design-related content without requiring someone to manage it (platform-wise).

I'm very glad that TGC was interested in their own Forum on BGDF.com because it allows you guys to deliver the right kind content and share with the Design Community what is going on... Articles to read, videos to watch which in some way are related to TGC.

This was and still is a SUPER "partnership" (I say that lightly ... There are no formal agreements or signatures on dotted lines). It's just using this platform to communicate with our members and the countless anonymous users who frequently visit this website to see what is happening NOW!

Cheers Tavis and I'm very happy that TGC features the kind of content related to their platform and offers all us DESIGNERS the chance to make even better products including prototypes!

As longtime members and

As longtime members and supporters of BGDF, we couldn't agree more! Our goal and our mission is to help people turn their ideas into real games and we're thrilled that we've been able to help so many people. Thanks for the continued support over the years and we'll continue to recommend BGDF as a great resource for game designers. :)
