And yup... They already have a Friends "Branded" Board Game.
So funny... Haha. I guess they make board games about EVERYTHING! LMAO.
But yeah I like the cartoon too. Was Funny! I just had to check if there was a "Friends" themed board game (like in the cartoon).

Off topic, I hear that "L'Imaginaire" the Gaming & Manga Store is trying to get the Provincial Government to agree that "Board Games" should be treated like Books, Video Games and Music. Meaning you don't need to have copies in both languages, each language has their own games made for their respective population.
This is proof because I don't see: "L'osti d'jeu" translated to English.
The idea is that each linguistic community has their RESPECTIVE and OWN domain of products that don't necessarily inter-mingle. Meaning that ENGLISH games are made in ENGLISH and FRENCH games are made in FRENCH.
Sure some will make for BOTH ... But the law would state that they don't need to. Furthermore the actual law as it is applied requires that IF an ENGLISH board game wants to be SOLD, there MUST be a COPY of an FRENCH version. Otherwise the store cannot sell the ENGLISH copies. Such stupidity.
So the French-Owned franchise "L'imaginaire" is taking the issue to the provincial government in order to make Board Games a category of product which follows the similar laws of Books, Video Games and Music.
To be continued...
Note #1: I figured I'd also POST the Link/URL of the CTV article concerning this REQUEST:

Called Filosophia Games which would translate games and that company was bought over by Asmodee. As Asmodee, I don't know if they are still actively doing translation or if they have reduced their footprint because of the buy-out. So they may only be translating Asmodee titles now. But not ALL game companies as it was before... So that company may still be involved in translation but in a much more limited scope.
Note #1: Why I bring this up is because the company was a Quebec based company and therefore was involved in translating the most popular and best games on the market.
Again if Asmodee bought out this company (and they did!) I don't think that they will be translating the competition's games. As part of the Asmodee Brand, it makes clear sense that they focus on Asmodee's catalog and only translate games that Asmodee publishes.
Unlike it's previous corporate mission which was to translate MANY popular games to make them accessible to the Quebec Market.
I am not sure what is the amount of translated vs published game ratio.
I asked that ChatGPT, the answer is interesting as it ranks with popularity:
Mid-tier games (moderate success):
→ ~30–60% get French localization
Small indie / niche games:
→ ~0–30% (often English-only)
So if they have to block games which has no french translation, it could cut a good portion of the market. Its probably already the case. But I think people have been getting around it by buying online. That could change in the near future.

"Osti d'jeu" is a translation of "cards against humanity". In this case, I think a translation is appropriate because that games has a lot of references on celebrities and other cultural element. So the translation also changes the references.
Good it they can make Board games works like books. The old law forced the existence of a translation to be able to sell a game. Not super convenient, but there is more and more French translation. Still, some more obscure or indie games will never get translated.
