Well I had yet another IDEA that came to me concerning a "Battle"-Type Game in which FOUR (4) Players duke it out in an Arena. The idea was that you MUST play a 4-Player Game and each player has their OWN "angle" of the Arena.

I have found a set of tiles that are PERFECT for the job. The only issue is that I would need to "re-design" them in Illustrator so that I can have both the right quantity of Game Tiles and the right shapes for each tile.

The cool thing is that the Tiles are "seamless". What that means is that no matter what side of the table you are playing from, the tiles looks the same in any position which is AMAZING (by design probably)!

So the "Arena" already has a definite "shape". And I also bought components for the Board too (which should arrive in a couple weeks!)

And yes, I know... The game name "Arena" is used by over a DOZEN+ Board Games on BGG. This is a "Placeholder" Name for the time being.

I plan to use innovative Game Mechanics too! I have to figure out once the Board is done, to next order it and see the final product in-hand. For sure I found the correct component for the "Board" and it's priced at $67.80 USD for TEN (10) unit ($6.78 USD each) and FREE Shipping... And "The Game Crafter" price is $10.67 USD for one (1) of something similar (in size only) plus shipping to Canada!

The idea here is to ASSEMBLE the Product from home and then ship it out to people who want to BUY it! We'll have to wait and see. For now it's only a question of PROTOTYPE and playtesting the game out to see if it all works.

Obviously one aspect that I want to TRY to minimize as a component is: Cards.

That's right, most of my projects are "Card-Intensive" and require cards to play. In this game, I want to TRY to eliminate cards altogether and use dual-sided Player Boards instead (One side for Normal and one side for Hard).

So NO SECRETS (You get what is available on your Player Board) and just plain "experience" and selection to upgrade which ability (order of play is what will matter) in addition to Champion Boards which represent the stronger unit in play (which is controlled by one of the four Players).

No AI or Automata, one of the four (4) Players is the Champion and everyone in the Arena is "routing" for them to slay all three (3) players! I am also thinking about D&D and four (4) STATs and Saving Throws for SPELLS.

My four (4) STATs are:

• Power (Strength) = Red

• Skill (Agility) = Yellow

• Karma (Luck) = Green

• Magic (Wisdom) = Blue

That's pretty much what I got ATM. But I'm still working on this NEW project because I'm trying to design something that can be played and enjoyed "without" the need for "cards".

I'm thinking about MAYBE(???) having a "Champion's Compendium" in which there would be a bunch of "Champions" the players could challenge in the "Arena". That's one method which would allow me to eliminate "cards" as an intermediary form used to provide information.

A reference book would be ideal in this case and helps me to solve the issue of what to use IF I "cannot" (or don't want to) use cards.

More on this concept/idea in the future. I will continue to ponder on the VIABILITY of the project...
