Superior POD announces new card design features and abilities!

At Superior POD we are always striving to enhance both quality and customer service. We are pleased to announce our new website with enhanced graphic design editing capabilities built right into the site.

What does this mean for the end consumer? Well, no more downloading clunky templates or having to have expensive or hard to use specialty software to build the files you would like to print. Now you can pick a product and design it right on our website, save it, and make your purchase.

This is especially exciting for card deck printing. Now, with Superior POD’s enhanced features, you can design each individual card in groups of 18 with unique faces and backs right on our website. Because they are in multiples of 18 you can create card decks that have 18, 36, 54, 72, 90 or 108 cards per deck... or more if needed!

It is as simple as clicking the Design Button, building your cards or importing your designs, saving them, and then clicking the check out button. Your cards will be printed in about 5 business days and shipped to you.

Don’t forget to order that full color printed tuck box to go with the card deck you just made! While you are at it you could order some business cards and posters to promote your product as well.

How do the boxes come?

Do the tuck boxes come just printed, or printed and cut, or cut and folded, or folded and glued?

I have used Superior POD in the past and I find their cards to be excellent in quality and durability. The only issue I had with them is their turnaround time which it sounds like has been improved. In any case, the quality of the product was worth the extra wait. So I would definitely recommend them unless you have a very short deadline.

If you just order tuck boxes they are printed, folded an glued. If you order cards in tuck boxes they are printed, folded, glued, assembled, cards inserted and shrink wrapped.

There are pictures of the boxes on the website

With the purchase of two new (and really fast) digital presses, added help and some other new equipment we are currently turning orders between 2 and 14 days depending on the size.

A nice feature that we have is our SPOD Order Ticker. You can track your order live and see its progress. as well, with the new site we update you via email as your order goes from stage to stage. If is an automated process on the new website. Since the order Ticker is public you can actually see how long it has taken us to process orders.

Sorry for my lack of culture, but what is Superior POD?

Is it like the games crafters? They print your game when somebody asked for it?

Yes, that feature is supported through the website. For the products you see on the site the template files for that are located at the bottom of each product page in different formats.

If there is something you need that you don't see contact us through the website and we will get it to you.

If you scroll down the home page - www.superiorpod.com - you will see the pricing for these. They will not be on the new site until the new code is written. The current site can't handle the variables for that product, same with books.

So yes, they are actually available now. You just have to order by email.

Well a quick trip to the website should have answered that for you but...... we are a print shop. We do everything the game crafter does and more. We can get you all the little game buts you need but we specialize in providing the highest quality print on demand product on the market.

We have invested heavily in the best technology available today. as a result we offer the best product at the best price. With the game crafter and others out there you get your product run on inferior high end copiers as opposed to our Xerox digital printing presses. You also have unprofessional packaging options with most of the other POD services, where as with SPOD you get full color, full bleed professional packaging to represent your products.

Our pricing is 25-50% less than most of the other POD services and if you list your products for sale in our Publishers Warehouse we only take 30% of the profit as opposed to 50% or more taken by others that offer the same type of service.

I hope that answers you question.

Thanks

templates

Jeff, if you remember from ages ago, you sent me some countersheet template. I turned that into a template that can be used to easily create countersheets using my generator. It's just that I haven't had a good reason to test it yet, so I don't know if it is perfectly accurate or if I got something a few pixels off somewhere (looks correct to me though).

If it's ok with you I can upload it somewhere (if I can find it) anyway if someone dares try it (make sure you carefully compare the resulting sheet to the template from Jeff before sending anything to be printed...).

Yes, I do remember. That is awesome. If you do have it I could put it on the site as a download if you want? If you can send it to me I can test drive it and see how it works.

Thanks

5/8" (.625 inches) = 15.875mm or about 1.6cm

1" = 25.4mm or 2.54cm

Uncommon Bleed?

Anyway to use the full card? I didn't see anything on it except that Full Bleed was possible.

Was Full Bleed 1 side only or both?

Thanks!
