Hello my friends,

Until 13 January 2012 designers can send their submissions to the Ludopolis Game Design Contest to concurso@ludopolis.pt. Participation has no fee and the winner will be edited trough Runadrake! It's a new contest that has some important goals to achieve:

- To encourage board games design in Portugal and within the world.
- To encourage and raise awareness about board games among the general public.
- To share the talent, the creativity and the designers creations with the general public.
- To help participants prepare to compete for international relevant contests.
- To set the scene for Portugal on the biggest international competitions for board game design.

You can check the Regulation in www.ludopolis.pt (it's a game Festival in Lisbon), or just click here:

I wish you the best ideas!

There is a little change:

There is a little change: designers with only self-published games are allowed do participate too (it's not in the rules yet but it will be soon!).

So, you should read in the rules:

"The contest is open to any board game designer with more than 18 years old without authored or co-authored games published (except in self-edition)." =)

That still leaves me out but

That still leaves me out but i understand. They want to give newer designer a chance without the big dogs taking all the glory.

I'm not a big dog but i am published.

Same here. Looked interesting

Same here. Looked interesting before I read that far. But I understand the motives and that it would be difficult to write the rules in a way that excludes only the real "big dogs".

Not that I have time for another competition anyway, so it's also good to not be allowed to enter.

Hello my friends!Thank you

Hello my friends!

Thank you for all the people who have participated in this contest! We are now reading the rules of the 78 games that were accepted to this first contest edition =)

We were not expecting such a big participation: published designers could not be in, each designer could only send a max. of 3 games, and the contest had no past - but it will have future for sure! ;)

The organization will do its best to give the winning prize to the best of all those games!

Thank you again from Lisbon ;)
