HI BGDF!

I found this community when I was reading the book Eurogames by Stewart Woods and I thought I would introduce myself.

My name is Gabriel Patin and I am run Autodesk's 3D printing and Lasercutting workshop, part of the bigger Pier 9 Autodesk/Instructables Workshop.

You can read more about that Maker Heaven here : http://www.autodesk.com/pier-9

In my free time I have been getting into game design, specifically eurogame mechanics and RFID electronic based Digital/Physical Hybrids. AND I HAVE LOVED IT!

I always enjoyed fantasizing about made up worlds and exploring games but never really understood what it meant to be a game designer and how to think about the problems that arise.

So far, reading books like The Art of Game Design, Eurogames and Challenges for Game Designers have gotten me through the basics.

I also have a copy of Rules of Play. Does anyone else have any advice on really great books on Game design?

Here is a splash page to the game I am working on. It doesn't give away much ;)

Cheers,

G.

PS// I will be at Indiecade next weekend :). Maybe I will run into some of you.
