Folks,
Dave has gotten chat implemented. Now we really need to get motivated to get the new Tiki Wiki site in as good as shape as possible before we go live.
Here's my current plan:
Do whatever we can to make the Tiki better for the next two weeks or so. On Monday July 3rd, let's open the site for a handful on non admin testers to look it over and provide feedback for a few weeks. As we get this feedback, we need to respond and take care of the issues brought up immediately.
On Monday July the 17th, let's go live. At this point, Dave will have a script in place that will convert over all of the current active users from PhpNuke to Tiki Wiki, so we won't have to worry about usernames/passwords. Also, I will leave the old site up for two weeks or so (via a direct IP) so people can archive anything they need to. After that point, I will install a copy of PhpBB on the new server to act as an archive of the forum posts. The posts will be searchable, but no new content will be added. After this archive is in place, I will cancel webhosting with the current ISP. (So as of August 1st, we won't be paying for two websites, just the one that the tiki is on).
Well what can you do? Right now we need suggestions and tiki content. If there's anything that you feel you can add, then please just add it. The more information that is available, the easier it will be for the members to accept the new format.
To recap, the new tiki site is here:

The current punch list of things that need to be done is here:

If you see anything that needs to be done, please add it to the punch list.
Also please post any comments in this thread.
Thanks,
Darke
