Experience using perforated A4 sheets of business cards?

Hi all,

Tried looking through the forum and found related topics, but not quite the same. My question is:

HAS ANYONE TRIED USING PERFORATED A4 SHEETS FOR BUSINESS CARDS FOR PROTOTYPE CARDS?

Apparently they correspond to a standard printer driver, so printing on them shouldn't be a problem.

Quick background regarding the game I have designed and is hopefully nearing completion ...
- cards need to be shuffled
- cards are placed face-up on the board (i.e. not held in the hand)

Also, for information, I need two different decks in the game (technology deck and a resource deck) so I was planning on just using differently patterned card (like a pale yellow and a marbled background).

Thanks

Welcome to the board! Way ahead of you, GW, I have used perforated business card sheets for cards before, and I know this has been suggested many times before. I'm happy with the results, although you'll want a small margin from the edges so cards don't bleed across the perforations onto other cards. That is, unless your printer is more reliable than mine.

A game I was working on a few months ago (and have since discarded) used three different decks, each with its own color. It's easy, it's simple, and no one confuses soldiers with buildings any more.

Now can anyone tell me how to set up Microsoft Word to tell it that I'm trying to print onto business cards ...

Most companies that make the cards have templates on there web site check that, if not E-mail those to see if you cant get a template.
