Publisher for very controversial game?

I am trying to find a publisher who is willing to deal with extremely controversial games.

Controversial like gang related controversial, not adult sexual type games.

Have you considered altering the theme? Is it necessary to have it be a gang related theme? I'm not sure, but the market for say a game about viking raiders would probably be bigger than one with a gang theme. At least I would more likely buy the Viking game.

Actually, yes I thought the very same thing.

What I would like to do though, is complete the gang related one just for fun, and then convert it to something else.

But, just out of curiosity. :)

Again, I am not a publisher and not familiar with their practices or strategies, but if I was, I wouldn't publish a game with that theme under most circumstances. But I just don't see it.

Clearly you've been playing too much GTA San Andreas lately. hehe

Are you kidding? I bet a Grand Theft Auto game would sell a LOT better than a generic Viking themed game, even if just FOR the theme.

A generic gang theme maybe not as well, so I guess if you're going gang related, then license GTA and you should do allright. You could even capitalize on the franchise by releasing expansions coincident with the 'sequals' they come out with every year.
