I came across PrintNinja and was considering using them in the future for manufacturing. Their prices seem reasonable and their customer service was quick to respond but I haven't heard much about them from other game designers or game blogs and I can't seem to find reviews about them in terms of their game manufacturing (I've found plenty of reviews for their comic book printing though).

I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them and would like to share thoughts?

I'm also curious

I'd also love to hear more about them. It seems that books are their focus. I wonder when they got into card and board games? I read one review on their facebook page that said the printing quality on the cards was pretty bad, but you can find one negative review for any company.

I've signed up for the "free packages" they offer. So maybe I can get a sample of one of their board games in the mail.

Many companies will showcase the board games they have worked on in the past, but I can't find any such gallery anywhere on their site.

Thanks for that Link!

That's great I was looking for a Printer that could offer competitive pricing in the area of "Hardcover" Books! Really cool, got a quote in a minute of so... Pretty affordable too!

Not like LuLu or RPGNow, this place (PrintNinja) is actually priced much lower...

Again thanks for sharing the company with us. In case you are wondering, the idea I have been having is having a "companion" book along with my game. The book would be around 50 pages and Black & White. All artwork would be "inked" just like the old D&D game books.

Thanks for this nugget!

Yeah, I was looking for a portfolio gallery too but couldn't find one. I've signed up for a sample pack too. Supposedly, I'll get it in the mail in like 2 weeks. I'm hoping that there are some game components in there. Let me know what you think if you receive your's before I do! :)

@questccg Glad to help! Let me know how it turns out if you end up printing with them :)

You got a quote back in a minute? Wow. That's fast. Seems like the quote must have been automated? I requested a quote yesterday, but haven't heard from them yet.

For some things, they have a automated quote, but you can lock it in so that's nice. They have a live chat system too and were able to answer most of my questions that way. According to the guy I was chatting with, most e-mail quotes will take around 24 hours.

That's because I used their ONLINE "calculator" for "Hard Cover" books! It asks you details about what you want to print, all the options, # of pages, colors, black & white, etc. And the it gives you a price based on "quantity".

Took a minute to fill in and gave me a direct quote. Plus with the shipping address they were also able to give me a shipping quote which was around $300 USD...

I didn't have to send an e-mail, just used the online quoting system...

We printed BattleGoats with them (http://www.cardlords.com/product/battlegoats/) and I was very happy with their communication and quality. Their pricing was good at the entry level, and at low quantity, but for our game needs, we were able to cut pricing quite a bit for our second game using the same components/box. The only thing that prevented me using them again was the fact that price was a rather large difference.

I have not used them to manufacture anything, but I have gotten quotes from them and compared their offer to those of others that I have been gathering. As was mentioned above, when going through their site, books did seem to be their main focus. The game quote that I got from them was competitive in price, perhaps more expensive, I don't quite remember. However, there is one thing that I did remember. If you are interested in prototype games for you to test, review, or send out, you should check into that. If I remember correctly, they are very expensive per prototype game. Much more so that others.

Thanks, let us know if you find out anything!
