Antaire: Villages - Play Tests: 1

Today I broke out my cards with a co-worker and we tested the game.

The game works reasonably well. It is easy to become resource rich, and no trading, so I think cutting down on the number of harvest tokens and plots received when upgrading from Village to Town to Castle will improve things. It may also bring into play the laborers, miners, farms, mills, mines and quarry's more.

I have some serious reservations about the stacks of cards I have, this could be reasonably resolved by exchanging some cards for tokes (Mines, Farms, Mills, Quarry's) but this then would make them zero turns to build. I think realistically reducing the number of them may make it more competitive to build. If I work on the assumption that the game is 4 player, it would be reasonable to allow for one per player, creates a smaller stack.

First run I would consider a success.
