HELLO FOLKS,
I have a potential change to ULTIMATE FOOTBALL, and I would like your feedback. Those of you who have seen the game may remember that along the sideline where was two magnetic strips. One strip to hold the 10 yard marker (the chains), and the other strip to hold the ball position marker (the position of the ball). Because of a serious cost issue, I am looking at removing both strips and adding two rows of holes in the game board to use a post (2 ten yards apart for the chains) and an additional post to mark the position of the ball. This would reduce costs associated with the manufacture of the game significantly, and would not reduce playability at all. It would however slightly reduce the ascetics (the look) of the game.
Again, all magnet's would be gone and in their place there would be 2 rows of holes in the board and 3 plastic posts, like the ones currently used along the sideline to mark the down and distance and plays per quarter.
