BGDF.com will be inaccessible. Our Hosting Company is moving all of their servers to a BRAND NEW state-of-the-art facility. As such the server on which we are hosted is scheduled to be moved on the 16 May 2023 and the downtime expected is 24 hours...

We will see how long it really takes to get the server back up-and-running as the window for the migration to the new facility is estimated at 24 hours.

So please do not be concerned in on Thursday you are not able to access the website during that day ... Our hopes are that the website will be back online on the 17 May 2024 (which is clearly 24 hours later).

Ideally I will check on the server on the Friday and will monitor the situation as I am expected to get e-mail confirmation that the server is up-and-running and I can then check to see if the website is live and running.

Please all don't try to logon on the 16 May and no earlier than the 17 May...

Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Looks like the migration went very WELL and there was ALMOST...

No interruption of service. @X3M has conveyed to me that the website has been a bit "sluggish" over the last week and I AGREE. It seemed a bit SLOW "earlier" today... But it seems to have picked-up it's pace over the last couple of hours.

I will continue to monitor the situation ... And IF we get too slow RESPONSE, I will contact the HOSTING company to ASK... "WTF is going on??? Why is the website responding so SLOW? And aside from changing hosting plans... Is there a way to improve response times?!"

They probably want me to pay more for HOSTING... But I'm already like paying $500 CAD per year for just the HOSTING. That probably Backups and Domain... Still it's a lot of money GOING out if I am not making any monies from this website... Other to support the DESIGNER community and people with like minds when it comes to MAKING games.

Anyhow... Things are "BACK TO NORMAL" (or the NEW NORMAL)... I will see with the response time... If the website performs normally. And I know we've had GREAT through-put when the site was initially hosted. So I don't know WHY(?) we would be having delays (other than the fact that we almost DOUBLED the amount of Monthly Traffic...)

Sincerely.

It looks like the site is back to normal. It's responding much FASTER than before when it started to be "sluggish"... Looks like the new HOSTING facilities are pretty decent and the migration went very well.

So you can all consider this action item done ... and with success!

Cheers all!
