The Game Crafter is pleased to announce that we’ve worked out a new process for producing Circle Shards. In this new process, the shards are punched out into slugs rather than individually. The player will then punch the shards out of the slugs.
Other than the shards coming on slugs, you’re probably wondering what difference this will make for you as a game designer. There are two main differences:
First, instead of 70 shards per sheet, you now get 108! That lowers the price per shard from 4.8 cents per shard to 3.1 cents per shard.
Second, we’re knocking 80 cents off the price of the sheet, bringing the per sheet cost down to $2.59 from $3.39. That further reduces the price to only 2.4 cents per shard! That puts them at half their old price per shard!
