My new battle los angels game

This is my new battle los angels game. This is my first time doing this so if you see any spelling mistakes. Ignore them. Any way here are the rules for the battle los angles game. It has some mixture of rules so here they. Pirates cove [by days of wonder, Memoir'44 [also by days of wonder], and a role-playing game.
The simple mechanic
The simple mechanic is that see how many guys that are in the squad that is firing. Then subtract any cover penalties. Last, The amount of guys in the squad indicates the amount of d6 dice you roll, subtract any cover penalties to all of the d6 dice.
Cover penalties
cover penalties are bad to the person firing into the cover. What they are is negative numbers that you subtract to all of the d6 dice that you are rolling.

A downed car gives a -1 to the roll
A downed car with windows gives you a -2 if you are firing at this while human. The same rules apply to buildings and houses.

Movement
Its basically like Memoir'44 but how-ever I just added one thing
you move 1 square on the board and fire.
you may move 2 squares on the board and not fire
you may move 3 [running] squares on the board and may not fire on that turn and the next turn. Running gives the opponent a -1 if firing at a running target.
Tanks may move 2 and fire
alien tanks may move 1 and fire
Combat
as said in the simple mechanic. In order to fire you must be in range. Here are the negatives
1 square away gives a -0 to your roll
2 squares away gives a-0
3 squares away gives a -1
4 squares away gives a -1
5 or 6 squares away gives a -2. It is a 4,5,or 6 to hit. A 4 is a wound. It takes 2 whole wounds to completely kill a guy in the squad.
Number guys in a squad
Normal human soldiers have 3 people
Normal human marines have 4 people
Normal human tanks have 1 or 2 if the tank has a gunner but a tank's gunner takes cover penalties.
normal human laser squads have 1 person in them. A laser squad and tank both ignore cover penalties. Laser squads roll 2 dice [as is the tank] and is a 3,4,5,or 6 to hit with human laser squads and laser squads cannot wound [as is the tank]. The normal tank [without gunner] rolls 2 dice and ignores cover penalties. The tank [with gunner] rolls 5 dice if the 2 are firing against normal alien squads but as said before the gunner takes cover penalties. If the gunner is firing at another target and is a normal alien squad then fire 3 dice, if firing at a alien tank then roll 1.
normal alien squads have 3
normal alien tanks have 1 person in them. If the alien tank is firing at a normal soldier, marine,or laser squads. Roll 4 dice instead of 2. It takes 4 complete hits kill a normal tank and alien tanks.
The role-playing game part of it.
The role-playing game part of it is that the gm or the game master has to come up the objective, settings for the battles, and what kinda mode the players are going to play here are modes
Story mode where the gm sits out and lets 2 people play against each other and writes down what happens to both of there armies or whatever.
Alien mode were the gm is the aliens [ this mode I say is best]
Human mode where the gm is the humans.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QS OR COMMENTS PLEASE ASK.

How the board is made is make

How the board is made is make squares on the paper you are using to make the spaces on the board. The gm makes the terrain large or small. The large object might take up like 6 or 7 spaces on the board.
