Unique?

There are so many games that it's difficult to be sure and there is always overlap. If your game is like another it may still have merit if it provides a different experience for the players.

What can you tell us?

Tell Us About It

As Dralius has pointed out, there are a lot of published games. But there is also a lot of collective knowledge in this forum. So if you tell us a little bit about the nature of the game, we might be able to tell you if you have something unique. That is, design wise. If you have a tentative name for the game, you can always search the internet or BGG, or even the trademark office to see if there are any conflicts. Because ultimately, a conflict with a trademark is more likely to compromise your ability to publish the game than a conflict over the design.

Game designs borrow so many different mechanics, ideas and themes from each other that it is both difficult to be truly unique and easy to copy other people's game designs without legal ramifications. But, the market success of a game usually depends upon whether you come up with something novel and compelling. And, consumers are usually good a spotting something that is derivative. But, what you shouldn't do doesn't tell you what you should do. You have to just try and put it out there. Then knowing the details will definitely help us give you advice on whether you've got something.
