New user, new game

Greetings all,

Here I am, a new poster to your (from what I've seen) sensible and friendly forum. Hope I can be sensible and friendly as well. I've no professional experience with game design, but great parts of my childhood was spent making 100% random games, sometimes consisting of nothing but tables, and playing them...

To get to business, I come with the immediate desire to get comments on a new game. It's a two player (full info deterministic) strategy game, reminicent of awale, I guess, but not about conquering beans. Do I just upload the rules and diagrams through the "My uploads" thing and announce it in a message? The FAQ seems to be empty, or is it just me?

Tentatively yours,

I've put a zipped folder with rules and diagrams in:

Hope etiquette is observed this way. My greatest concern is whether or not the rules are hermetic or something. The rules text is just a few pages long however, so it may not be so bad. The game is playable as it stands, but lacks thematical content. I guess it's about a clockwork.

Hopefully enjoy,

Ok, I'll start off with the bad and end on a high note.

I think it would help everyone if you combined the diagrams into the rulesheet so that you don't have to keep jumping back and forth between the rules and the different diagrams.

That's the bad.

The good far outweighs that though. The diagrams are pretty clean in my opinion, clean and clear. The rules were a little confusing at first, but I got the gist of what goes on in a particular game.

As much as I've seen without acutally playing it i'd have to say this is a pretty original game, and looks like it could be a lot of fun. The board itself looked complicated to me at first, but after reading the rules seemed pretty easy to manuver around. I look foward to seeing more of this game, and even getting a chance to play it if I can print it out and find some time.

Keep up the good work and keep us posted on developments.

Thank you. I've compiled the rules and diagrams and added an MS Word document (the best I could do) in the zip-file.

To those it might concern,
