Im preparing my game Sumbreros for the GDW and i would like to here your comments about the artwork.

Do you think it attracts you to play the game?
Does it represent well the mexican theme?

Any comments are welcomed :)

Here is a sample of the graphics:

Some of the artwork are cliparts from office... I hope i'll replace them soon with original artwork!

Thank you :)

The caracters on the cards are clip art, i didn't have the time to draw my own. If the game is fun and i have the time too draw or if i find someone who can do my artwork i'll change them.
Thanks for the comments :))

It definitely seems to have the right feel, knowing nothing about the gameplay. The sandy background is particularly good.

Did you intend to misspell "sombreros"? You have it spelled "sumbreros".

I don't know why but i always write it with a u!! i don't know why i always make this mistake!
Maybe it really will be the name for the game :) It's a game of majority so maybe it will be a good idea to call it "Sum"-brero. For the small counting aspect of the game i don't know :)

That's why I asked. "Sumbreros" could be a clever and an appropriate title, but just in case...

Good but...
There is not enough contrast between the title and background,
The background behind the title seems a little too busy,
Heres a good tool for when making the colour scheme http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html

When I saw it, I immediately thought it was some sort of mexican themed addition game.

Very nice artwork, BTW!

I'm glad that you like the new game Sumbreros and the artwork!

You've been really nice to take the time to look at my game.

I was really anxious about how others would perceive the look of my game, because for me the first thing that turn me on or off about a game is the look.

I don't know why but i just can't enjoy a game without nice drawings...

i think that art really is important to get me into the game, and if the art of sumbreros does it for you i hope the rules i'm finishing will fullfill your needs ;)
