I dont suppose any of you happen to know anywhere I can get treasure chest game pieces, so i dont have to get them custom made, do you? It'd be much appreciated. Im looking for something that can fit into a 1 inch by 1 inch square, preferably, but im flexible. Nothing bigger than 2 inches, though.

If possible, i'd like to avoid buying in bulk, since its more for a personal project than anything, but once again, i'm flexible.

Any help is much appreciated.

Check out this link and look for the Gems in a Treasure Chest Counting Game.

I never would have seen this except that my wife and I are planning to open a family daycare and are in the process of picking up toys and kids games.

Actually this store has quite a few components (plastic coins, blocks, bingo chips, etc.) that can be used for prototypes.

Those chests look tobe a bit too big, unfortunately. Anything that can open will most likely be too big, but i dont need something that can open, anyway.

Just did a quick google search and found this:

http://www.amazonminiatures.com/catalogue/index.asp?rName=Dungeon%20Acce...

They don't have a photo of the chest miniature but you could email them.

Other than that the usual suspects of games workshop, wargames foundry and suchlike might have one in their back catalogue.

This might be pushing the 2" long limit... but check out a board game called Dark World, made by Mattel... its a neat dungeon dragon type game for younger crowdes my 7 year old cuzin always wants to play it, I dont cuz its always the same thing over and over lol... but it comes with 4 treasure chests, that have opening hinges to hide a gold weapon in. It is likely about 1x1x2" Dark Brown, and I've seen them on ebay just the chests... the game is not very popular (unless u find the canadian version then they get gobbled up for insane amounts) so it should be obtainable for 10$ or so... oddly as I look the only one on ebay is 65$ lol.. no bids tho :)

you can see the chest in these images...

Though they do open, I believe these may be just what you're looking for:

If it's for a personal project rather than you wanting industrial quantities, what about Lego?

There's a brown treasure chest, which is 4 x 2 studs and about a brick and 2/3 high.

They look to be a few cents each on http://www.bricklink.com/

Hmmm. Great find. I'm thinking that lego could be an excellent tool for prototyping! What a great idea.
