How much would a logo like that cost?

not a lot, it would be negotiable. I understand that a logo for a proposed game design would need to be at a vastly reduced cost to help keep prototype costs down.

If it was for a large buisness already producing games, thenthe cost would be different. I would charge by the hour and a contract would be drawn up.

I can do a simple logo for around $100.

I do logos and artwork as well, and I'll do whatever you need for exactly $1 less than the other guys......

I'm just kidding of course, but this series of posts has convinced me that an artists' gallery would be extremely useful and effective on this site. Not just a series of links (although that would be a great resource as well), but an actual gallery with a few small samples of the artists' work, plus links , general price range, and contact info. Thread after thread pops up here with people asking for artwork and where to get it, and even though I want to pipe up every time and say "hey, I do art", I also don't want to be clamouring against other BGDFers for jobs, or get into underbidding wars with anyone here.

I love the collaborative spirit here and wouldn't want to impact it negatively. So many people here throw out ideas and solutions and suggestions freely, and it's great.

However, I do make my living by the brush, as do many others on the forums... some way to offer our talents and styles without generating a thread for it every time would streamline it for both the illustrators and the game designers, and allows the game designers pick which tree to bark up... if you dig.
