Bad night while brainstorming.

So today I tried for about 5 hours to come up with even a possible game mechanic and I just kept getting flop after flop after flop. So I scrapped it all and intentionally tried to make the worst board game ever, and I succeeded. I risk putting my rules online because someone might just be dumb enough to steal them ;)

Name: Mowe your lawn

Rules:
Take 25 face cards and put them face down in a 5x5 layout. Set a timer for 5 seconds and with your non-writing hand flip the cards over one at a time until all the cards are face up. If you can do it under 5 seconds you win!

2 + Players:
Each player makes a 5x5 layout of face down cards. First person to flip all their cards wins!!!

Bunco

Obviously you have never played Bunco. It’s just as pointless but worse because it last longer and it’s published. In the world of bad you're an Amateur!

Let’s make it truly annoying.

How about in the multi player game your opponents distract you by throwing things at your head.

I suggest a retheme

Mowing the lawn is so boring

Change the theme to scooping up dog poop. Same sort of job, but infinitely more interesting and fits nicely with the card flipping action.

I'd say instead of your non-writing hand you need to use just the power of your mind. And you're not allowed to leave the game unfinished.

Great idea but why use cards when you could use the real thing.

Now that's a bad game!

You could market to parents as a game for annoying kids :)

Ahhh this made me happy to read today. My wife asked me if I was sad about all the time waisted trying to make a new game last night and I simple took a quote from Thomas Edison and twisted to fit my situation.

I simply found several ways how not to make a game.

I actually liked the idea of hucking stuff at each others head while you play though. That sounds a lot like a mechanic my brothers would use on me when we were younger. :)
